My heartfelt congratulations to the Seisay Foundation on your important work in health and education in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Sierra Leone. As someone with roots from such communities, I know first hand the importance of the types of supports provided by the Seisay Foundation – it could be the difference between a child going to school or missing out on education. My very best wishes to the Seisay Foundation as you continue on this worthwhile journey to positively impact lives in vulnerable communities in Sierra Leone. -

I have had the privilege of knowing Matthias Seisay for two decades, and there are a few things I’ve come to know about him. He loves to laugh out loud, he loves Bob Marley, he loves his family, and he absolutely loves his home country, Sierra Leone. Matthias was one of my counselors in college, and his dedication to encouraging all of his students to never give up on learning continues to inspire me today. I’d like to think some of his zeal stems from witnessing the opportunities many have in the United States and often don’t fully embrace. I am blessed to be the longest-standing Black financial advisor in my agency’s 130+ year history at Northwestern Mutual. Matthias’ love and support have been an important part of my journey. While Matthias has always traveled back and forth to Sierra Leone to assist his home country, I am particularly excited about this new bold move. I’m eager to support him and our brothers and sisters in Sierra Leone, just as Matthias has supported us here. Let us never give up faith, forgiveness, and gratitude, for the best is yet to come!
