Access to health care still remains a far-fetched dream for many people in rural Sierra Leone. Our desire to help in that direction has been encouraged by Meda-Care Ambulance Company in Milwaukee- Wisconsin, with the donation of an ambulance to our cause. We cannot thank them enough! Your contributions to help ship this vehicle will be greatly appreciated.

Along with our second shipment of bikes, in October, 2007, were hospital beds and mattresses from SIERRASOTA in Minnesota; wheel chairs and several much-needed medical equipment from Direct Supply in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Below is the limited number of locally-made, wooden, non-adjustable beds that were originally in the Children’s Ward at Kenema hospital before our January 2008 donation.

Adult wards also benefited from items such as; beds, mattresses, wheel chairs, gurneys, defibrillators, IV poles, PVC chairs, and a number of other surgical equipment.
