Hi Big Brother,
It is great to see that your vision is growing, and that we are all on the same page…I believe that there are synergies between our foundations that we will explore for the development of Sierra Leone.
Take care and give me a nudge when you can…
best regards,

i must say a big thank you for your effort towards friendsacross the world. continue doing your good work and i hope i can reward you some day
I love the ^page so cary go my dear.
I live by the philosophy that everything happens for a reason. I was playing around on google I put in my last name and this popped up. I am very very supportive of what you are doing to trying to do to make someones life a little bite brighter. I go to a boarding school in Hershey, Pa. And it is a school for families with low incomes and coming from bad backgrounds. Here they give us so much support to change the world and make things better. And I look at the Seisay Foundation for a way for me to change someones life. I think that I may have a spiritual connection to the “Seisay Foundation”. My father is from Sierra Leone and he is always pushing me to do my best. If there is anyway that I could help with this, make people aware please feel free to contact me at my email (contact details removed for the poster’s safety)
Keep up the great work that you do.

Keep it up!! There is a future behind your mission. Children deserve love and a brighter future full of hope.
Salifu Kamara — 18 May 2008, 22:32
My brother, I am always proud of your work and focus to make a difference in our motherland Sierra Leone. Indeed your dreams and present cause to help children and youth is a true mission. Never give up, because the eyes of God is upon you daily.
Some us who had first-hand experiences of the war in Sierra Leone will always be happy for those who extend a helping hand to the children and youth of battered nation.
The war is over, but the healing will take time, especially for some us who lost our dear parents. God will certainly judge those who brought such massive death and suffering on innocent civilians in our beloved country.

We met Ndidi Cathy Cramer , at my Dr. appointment and was so impressed by her love, passion and dedication to her work at “Friends Across”…
We are of jewish fate and went through very tough times , understanding the need and support for this noble cause…Will be happy to help your efforts Cathy!
Mr. Youngman, although I don’t know you, but I am highly impressed with initiative and efforts. Being in it (I do mean Development work) over the years I know it is a very difficult thing. I really hate an elaborate media-hype, but I can assure your motivation deserves such attention to teach our peer-Africans in the diaspora that it is only them who can develop their continent, and its no body else but they. Please stay focus on the course and keep up this good work so that others might imitate and follow the trends of your footpath. Development work is very heavy and demanding commitment but it really gives one the true inner-satsifation.

My husband and I have been together for three years. We have a one year old with one on the way. He was born and raised in Sierra Leone and came to America as a refugee in 2000. He has never met his mother nor his father so now that we are having children I can see how much it torments him. The story that has been told is that his sixteen-year-old mother had him out of wedlock with one of the Peace Core volunteers. I have touched the scar where he was stabbed and left to die because he was born light-skinned, mixed with two different races. There are other things that have happened in Sierra Leone that he just can’t talk about. I try to get him to talk to me, but he can’t. Only once, in a whisper, he told me of the burned bodies that he has seen with his own eyes. I’m reaching out here because I don’t know what else to do. He needs counseling, but where do we turn? Who do we go to? Why did this happen to so many people? When does the pain stop haunting us all?

Matthias, your efforts and achievments are greatly commendable, to say the very least. I had no idea of what greatness I was encountering when we met. I’d only heard a little about “what you do” before I met you, but it served no justice to what I’ve beheld here. You are extremely humble, but your reward shall be great. I look forward to learning more about your endeavors and lending myself to support your cause in the near future. May God bless you tremendously.

I have read your story and I am very impressed with all of the accomplishments that have taken place in Sierra Leone. I encourage you to keep up the good work and fight to help the children and people of your Country.
I hadn’t been on your website for awhile and what a great job you did and what a wonderful improvement from your previous. You are always in our prayers Matthias and we love you very much. I was thrilled to see that they had elections in Sierre Leone yesterday and maybe, just maybe, you can go home for a little while to see firsthand. The dear Lord is definately answering a lot of prayers and they have all been initiated by your organization and you Matthias. God bless you always and forever and may our dear Lord’s PEACE be with you and yours always.

I admire your Mission and Vision statements. It’s good that you have sensed this; and you are doing quite a good job with youth projects already established in Freetown, Kenema, and Makeni. I am really happy and impressed in your job. Keep it up---the Sky is your limit.
You are doing a really great job. It’s great that there are people like you who are able to help in this way.
I was moved and touched by your program. Thank you very much.

It is interesting to note the value that lies in the social justice programme you undertake for young people, especially the children in Sierra leone. You have a remarkable sense of committment to your people and an unquestionable regard for social justice.I am particularly impressed with your educational projects in Freetown, BO and Kenema. It is an unprecedented opportunity for your people. God bless you.

Hello Matthias: Hope you remember. I am “Dumbs”, your former colleague teacher at Prince of Wales School, Sierra Leone. I am really impressed with your work and marvel at your continued inspiration to work with, and for impoverished children. Keep it up! I have no doubt that you would continue to touch the lives of many young people in Sierra Leone and others in the diaspora.

Hi Matthias,
Thanks so much for speaking at Marquette last night. It’s great to watch a movie, but it was far better to be educated about what’s going on by someone who’s actually been there. I really appreciate you coming to talk to us, hopefully news will continue to spread and people will be moved to help!
Great work, may God bless you in all you’re doing.

Matthias, my name is Benjamin. We attended Marquette together for a while. I am a second year law student. I first met you at JUSTICE. We would run into one another from time to time, but never had a chance to really talk. My focus in Law is international humanitarian law. This semester I am producing a research paper on child soldier reintegration. I heard you speak at the Blood Diamond showing, and was excited to know you are working on the same thing. I would love to know more about your work on reintegration, the pros and cons of the methods you have encountered, and some of your own approaches to reintegration. I developed a theory of reintegration and would love to discuss it with you.
It was great seeing you again. Please feel free to check out the University ministry page at MU to get a picture of me…I hope the face will be more familiar than the name. Blessings with all your work.

Good job, Matt, “you be as a soja” in the struggle to help the poor, the deprived and the downtrodden people of Sierra Leone. I am an eye witness to what you are doing for these people in Sierra Leone as I visited your tailor shop project in Kenema last August. I was thrilled by the eagerness of young boys and girls I saw at the Friends Across Tailoring Center, training to learn a trade. They were so happy and full of hope. The Lord said “thou shall bring hope to the hopeless”, and this is exactly what you and Cathy are going. God bless both of you. Thank you.

Comments: Hi Matthias, I am hearted by your commitment to pursue justice and peace which we all hold as strong elements for post-war recovery in Sierra Leone. In the scale and context of the brutality in Sierra Leone, and other nations, networks such as www.friendsacross.org will ultimately help to usher in world peace in the near future, as i view it from an optimistic prism. Keep up the good work, and together we can help to make a difference in Sierra Leone and the wider global community.
